2012 Artisan Bread Fair

DATE:  Saturday, JULY 28, 2012.

HOURS:  9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

PLACE:  Skowhegan State Fairgrounds. Directions.

COST: Free! and everyone is invited.  Bring the family, bring your friends.

PARKING: $2 for the whole day.

TOUR: SOMERSET GRIST MILL (formerly the Somerset County Jail).  July 28, 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.  Meet at the yellow garage doors, Somerset Grist Mill, 42 Court Street, Skowhegan, Maine.

Last year 2500+ people took part in the Artisan Bread Fair, and this year we anticipate double that number who will come to sample delicious breads and pastries, enjoy handmade pizza baked in a wood-fired oven, buy the best books and equipment for baking at home, talk to professional bakers, listen to live music, find antique baking tools, beautiful kitchen linens, and scythes, get tips from King Arthur Flour experts about the use of their various baking flours, watch demos, and eat superb Maine made foods.
