The annual Kneading Conference and Maine Artisan Bread Fair are held at the Skowhegan State Fairgrounds where there’s plenty of space, but not too much. This is a classic fairground built in 1818, two years before Maine became a state. The Kneading Conference and Bread Fair will occur several weeks prior to the opening of the Skowhegan State Fair, the oldest consecutively running agriculture fair in the U.S.
