Work/Study Application
The Kneading Conference Work/Study Program is intended for those who show high interest in baking, milling and/or grain growing and who need help in meeting the expense of the July 26-27, 2012 conference. In exchange for a $200 scholarship (accepted applicants pay $100) and ample time attending conference workshops and lectures, work/study applicants will be asked to volunteer up to 15 hours during the period Wednesday, July 25th through Saturday, July 28th (the day of the Maine Artisan Bread Fair). Duties will include helping with set up, clean up and other tasks in the kitchen, assisting presenters and helping around the conference grounds. Applicants may also be asked to distribute flyers and posters in the months leading up to the conference.

Applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until all positions are filled.
Note about applying for work/study: a $50, non-refundable deposit is required. Please mail your check to the Maine Grain Alliance address listed above. It will be applied toward the $100 work/study registration fee. If you are accepted into the work/study program, the balance of $50 is due by July 12th. If the final $50 is not received by July 12th the work/study spot reserved for you will be offered to the next person on the waiting list. If you are not accepted into the work/study program, your $50 deposit will be returned.
